Made shortly after the death of my grandfather, and after the first batch of transferring his old 'family movies' from 8'' and super 8'' films.

This short film tries to voice what it feels like to be from a culture that you know everything about and are really proud to be a part of, but which is in a language that you cannot speak or understand.

Which I suppose is common for new generations of immigrants living in a new country to experience this dilemma, which was the fate of the Acadians, my family.

This film uses overlays and frame by frame digital painting as well as other hand drawn effects and digital layering.
